High performance composite structures and components offer long life, low maintenance, and corrosion-free, low fire hazard options to the cooling tower owner. But to take full advantage of this life expectancy the designer must be aware of certain design parameters unique to composites that must be addressed. Additionally, there are routine inspections and maintenance procedures that should be incorporated to insure and prolong the cooling tower structure integrity.
