82-02: Use of a Fouling/Corrosion Monitor to Optimize an Organic Cooling Water
This paper details a method used to streamline and optimize an organic corrosion inhibitor program at a southwest gas processing plant. It involves the use of data generated by a portable fouling, corrosion monitor that is capable of simulating a plant's critical heat exchangers. Both velocity and surface temperature are duplicated in order to provide an identical environment for fouling and corrosion that is occurring in the plants equipment.
