Much has been written about proper treatments and controls for the protection of cooling water systems and to insure operating efficiency. The advantages of products, equipment, and programs are discussed in articles, papers, advertising and presentations by suppliers and users. these expand our knowledge of available technology and are valuable aids in optimizing cooling water treatment programs and operating efficiencies. the cooling water products, control and feed equipment and control parameters should be selected to meet the needs of each system and be part of an overall program. Typically, a great deal of care is taken in establishing the program and the necessary controls. If everything and everyone performed perfectly, problems would not exist.
