79-08: Custom Reconstruction of Southwestern Public Service Company Jones

Southwestern Public Service Company is an investor-owned electric utility company that serves a 45,000 square mile are of the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles, Eastern New Mexico and southern Kansas. Southwestern Public Service Company is unique in that through our System Engineering Department, we design, purchase, build, install, checkout and startup all of our plant additions. When the Jones Station collapsed on April 28, 1977, a decision was made to design and build a replacement tower with in-house personnel.
