76-03: Interception and Retention of Cooling Tower Drift on Vegetation

A key issue concerning environmental impacts from cooling tower operation is rate of interception of drift by soil or vegetation and the efficiency of plants in scavenging drift from the atmosphere. Plant density, retention of drift on foliage, and the subsequent incorporation by foliar absorption of the trace elements will also influence interactions and magnitude of biological effects.
