75-09: Fundamentals of Cooling Tower Water Technology

The impending large increase in the construction and use of cooling towers in response to the new EPA requirements for thermal pollution control, together with the limitations being imposed by EPA on the discharge of water treatment chemicals in the blowdown from cooling towers, makes it timely to review the fundamentals of cooling tower water operators, regulatory officials, and others who should or may wish to become familiar with this increasingly complex and important subject.
