72-04: Condition of Preservative Treated Cooling Tower Slats After 10-Year

Slats of four species were treated with six preservatives to study their effectiveness in controlling typical brown or white rot by the Basidiomycetes fungi and soft rot by the ascomycetes and fungi imperfecti. Additives to water were used to control chemical deterioration and corrosion and growth of contaminants such as algae and slime.
