Although this paper is only indirectly related to the subject of this symposium and is being delivered by a biologist with little knowledge of cooling towers, I believe it will be of some value to you to see an extensive and heavily instrumented monitoring program without the interference of much technical knowledge. The paper is a description of the development and routine use of waste monitoring equipment at the Texas division of the now chemical company.
