07-04: Effects of Wind on Air-Cooled Condenser Performance
Couldn't load pickup availability
Wind is an important factor affecting the performance of air-cooled condensers. The paper presents the results of field tests at five plants with ACC's to determine the mechanism and magnitude of the effects. The relative importance of recirculation and degradation of fan performance is discussed. Possible approaches to mitigate the wind effect are explored.
