Method of Calculation and Measurement of Water Evaporation from Evaporative (All-Wet or Wet-Dry) Heat Rejection Equipment - ATC-174
Every wet-dry system design has different water-saving potentials, costs, auxiliary energy demands, water chemistry requirements, reliability considerations, and space requirements. A potential purchaser must evaluate the viability of any particular wet-dry system using their site requirements, economic factors, and experience. To assist in this decision, ATC-174 provides a method to calculate water consumption from a benchmark of all wet (evaporative) cooling. Additional methods to verify the water consumption by either laboratory or field measurements are also contained in the Test Code.
